1. Initial Contact
The client reaches out to the artist with interest in commissioning a mural. They may provide the location, size, and general idea or theme.
2. Concept Meeting
The artist and client discuss the vision, purpose, style, and color preferences for the mural. Budget and timeline are also reviewed.
3. Sketch & Proposal
The artist creates a concept sketch or digital mockup and submits it for client approval, along with a quote and contract. A $100 design fee may apply.
4. Revisions & Approval
Any necessary changes are made to the design. Once the final version is approved, the client signs off to move forward. A 50% deposit is due upfront.
5. Preparation
The artist gathers materials, preps the wall (cleaning, priming), and schedules the painting dates.
6. Painting the Mural
The artist paints the mural on-site, often in stages over several days or weeks, depending on the complexity.
7. Final Review
The artist and client review the completed mural together. Small touch-ups are made if needed.
8. Completion & Payment
Once approved, the client makes the final payment. The artist may seal the mural for protection if required.
