About Me

Hi, I’m Cherry — a muralist, teaching artist, and creative spirit from Houston, Texas. Art has always been more than just a hobby for me — it’s how I meditate, how I process the world, and how I share my story.

I come from African American, Creole, and Native American heritage, and my journey has been shaped by both adversity and growth. Through every challenge, I’ve leaned on art as a source of peace, healing, and strength. Today, I’ve painted over 30 murals (and counting!), and I’m passionate about transforming spaces with bold, meaningful designs.

In addition to mural work, I teach art and host paint parties that bring people together through creativity. Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a professional artist — and even when life took me in different directions, I always found my way back to painting. It’s where I feel most at home.

When I’m not working on a mural, I’m usually dreaming up new ideas or thinking of ways to inspire others—especially kids and aspiring artists who may not have access to creative resources. My goal is to use art as a tool for connection, empowerment, and joy.
